Activity 2 - Make an Easter Nest - This is an activity idea to do with your parents.
Ingredients:
Chocolate - a large bar.
Cereal - shredded wheat, rice crispies or cornflakes
Mini Eggs or Smarties to go inside (CARE - please be careful if using mini eggs as they can cause a choking risk in small children).
Cake cases
Method:
Break the chocolate into small pieces and place in a large bowl.
Boil the kettle and half fill a saucepan with the water.
Place the bowl containing the chocolate over the saucepan and gently stir until the chocolate has melted.
Take the bowl off of the saucepan and place on a tea towel (CARE - the bowl will be hot)
Add the cereal in small amounts at a time (if you are using shredded wheat you will need to break it up first).
Keep stirring until the cereal is all coated and there’s no chocolate left at the bottom of the bowl.
Place spoonfuls into cake cases and place a mini egg on the top.
Place in the fridge for 3 hours or until firm before eating!

Activity - Make a picture of a burning bush, you could use paint, tissue paper or anything else you have at home.

Prayer - When people asked Jesus how we should pray, he gave an example, it’s called the Lord's Prayer. It goes like this:
Our Father who art in heaven (art means lives, God is our heavenly father and we can pray to him just like we can talk to our dads
Hallowed be your name (hallowed means holy and it’s like saying to God, you are really special and we worship you)
Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (this means God please make everything in the world right again just like you do in heaven)
Give us this day our daily bread (this is asking God to give us everything we need for today)
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us (trespasses means sins, or the wrong stuff we do, so this is asking God to forgive us for the wrong things we do and us forgiving other people when they get things wrong too)
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil (temptation is when we want to do something wrong and deliver means rescue, so this is saying to God please stop us from wanting to do wrong things and rescue us from bad things)
For yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory (this just means you’re in charge God, you’re the king!)
For ever and ever
Amen (this means I agree)
